Traditionally, treatment for malocclusion required the placement of metal appliances on the teeth to slowly guide them into proper position.

DAMON Braces

Damon Braces are a popular choice for many of my patients because they score highly in all four of these areas. Discreet Damon metal braces are made with strong metal brackets that are much smaller than the brackets used in old-fashioned braces. A wire that is held in place by a slide mechanism connects the brackets and gently moves the teeth into a straight position over time. The slide mechanism replaces the elastic ties, which can cause friction and collect plaque, used to hold the wires in place in traditional braces. This new technology allows the teeth to move more freely, which makes them more comfortable and easier to clean. It also means the teeth can be straightened faster than with traditional braces. Treatment time with Damon braces is typically 4-6 months shorter than with conventional orthodontic appliances. For those who wish to have more discreet treatment, you may opt for Damon Clear braces. These work in exactly the same way but use ceramic brackets so are even less noticeable.

The cost of Damon braces is comparable to the cost of conventional braces and other solutions such as clear aligners.
